How to Install Shree Lipi Fonts on Windows
Without the correct fonts installed on your system, converted Shree Lipi text will appear as meaningless English characters. This guide walks you through installing legacy Indian fonts on Windows 10 and Windows 11.
Step 1: Download the Font Files
First, download the font files you need. We offer free downloads of the most popular legacy fonts:
- Shree Lipi (SL) Font — Download .TTF
- Kruti Dev Font — Download .TTF
- DevLys Font — Download .TTF
- Chanakya Font — Download .TTF
Step 2: Install on Windows 10 / 11
- Locate the downloaded .ttf font file
- Right-click on the file
- Select Install (installs for current user only) or Install for all users
- Windows will install the font automatically — no restart required
Step 3: Use the Font in Your Software
- MS Word: Open font dropdown → type "Shree" → select the font
- CorelDRAW: Text tool → font list → search "Kruti Dev" or "Shree"
- PageMaker: Type menu → Font → select from installed fonts list
Why Can't I See Hindi Text After Conversion?
This is the most common issue new users face. After using our Unicode to Shree Lipi Converter, the output text will look like English characters until you apply the correct Shree Lipi font in your software. Once the font is applied, the text will render correctly in Devanagari.
